Frequently Asked Questions |
|
| How do I add an existing domain to my account? |
Your web hosting plan may allow you to host only a certain number of domains. To make sure that you can add an additional domain, take a look at the Account Usage table on the left. Under 'Domains' you will see how many more domains you can host (look at the Available column). If the number is more than 0, then you can add an additional domain.
To add the domain, go to the Site Management > Hosted Domains. You need to add your domain name there and set our name servers to your domain. You should be able to edit the name servers settings of your domain at your registrar (the company which you registered the domain with). You will see the correct name servers in the Hosted Domains section.
After you set our name servers to your domain and add the domain to your Hosted Domains, there is a 24 hours propagation time before the domain is fully operational.
Once you add a domain to your Hosted Domains, a folder with the same name as your domain name is created in the /www directory of your account. Upload your files inside your domain folder to make them accessible through the web. |

| How to obtain EPP code? |
If the domain is registered through us all you have to do is to open a Support Ticket and request
the EPP code. It will be send to the Registrant Contact E-mail address of the domain. You must have access to that e-mail address in order to get the EPP code.
If the domain name is registered with another domain name registrar you will have to either contact them or check and see if there is an option for sending/viewing the EPP code
available in the account you have with them. |

| What is an EPP key? |
| The EPP key is an authorization key for domain transfer. It verifies that the domain transfer has been initiated by the owner and it can be obtained from the current registrar. Most domains require an EPP key in order to be transferred away to another registrar but there are also exceptions. More information you can refer to your current registrar. |
