| .htaccess file - what is it ? |
The .htaccess file provides a way to make configuration changes on a per-directory basis. Those configuration changes are related to the Apache Web Server.
The .htaccess file works recursively, this means that if you place it in /www/domain.com/ folder the rules
defined by the .htaccess will apply for /www/domain.com/ and all sub-domains under it. |

| What is Elefante Administration tools ? |
The Elefante Administrator tools allow you to quickly setup:
1) Hot-link protection - prevent others from using direct links to images from your site thus stealing traffic. If enabled Hot-Link protection will track the referrer information and will deny access to anyone trying to access an image directly.
2) IP Blocking - this feature provides means to block certain IP addresses from your site. By enabling it you will be able to enter IP addresses which will not have any access to the site.
3) .htaccess generator - through the .htaccess file you can re-write URLs, override certain Apache directives, block IP addresses, use Hot-Link protection, define default Error Pages, setup Password Authentication and many more. This tool is meant for those of you who wish to easily generate an .htaccess file. |

| Can I use the same MySQL database for many script installations ? |
Yes, you can use one MySQL database for more than just one script. The only requirment is for the script to support prefixing the tables in the database, i.e. scriptname_ is often used for table prefix and in this way one database can be used for many scripts.
Please note that if you want to install two scripts that are using the same database and do not have any table prefixes it is quite likely that this will result in nonoperational script(s). |

We provide installation support i.e. if you have any difficulties installing a given script we will assist you and help you.
